Quite so, Julia, which is why I suspect all of this agitation for an extention of holding time, which much of the public supports, is simply a political stunt. Unfortunately, 'Broon', with his Bean-like ineptitude, now looks a complete failure who can only govern on the whim of the 'Proddy' Unionist Party. How long before Revd. Paisely is invited for tea and sandwiches at No. 10? Still, it's worth it - the wailing and gnashing of teeth on the Left-wing blogs is delicious, you would need a heart of stone not to laugh! Yes, the fact that the hated and 'unrepresentative and non-diverse' Lords might be the only place to save their bacon from a Labour government is sweet, swwweeeet schadenfreude.. :)
