Here are the three men who could win the next election for Dave. The first, an egotistical union yob, is Len McCluskey, leader of the giant (dis)UNITE union who is intimating, I put it no higher, that his union might be forced into, er, extra-legal activities (shall we call them?) if the government continues to put pressure on their activities. This, from Isabel Hardman at the Labour conference as reported by The Coffee House:
He told an event on ‘trade unions in a new economy’ that Unite could be ‘pushed
outside of the law’ by introducing legislation curbing trade unions’ activities.
‘If this government continues to attack us, and continues to try and reduce
our rights even further, let me warn then this. If you push us further outside
of the law, then be it on your own heads what the consequences are, because
we’ve got no intention in Unite or in this movement of allowing laws introduced by the Bullingdon boys to restrict the legitimate and international rights we have to protect our workers… Conference, if we’re pushed outside of the law then so be it.’
So there you have it, Dave, dim as you are, surely even you can see that now is the time to turn the screws because a national strike in any important sector of the economy is going to have the voters running for Tory cover because they sure as hell know they will not get any from your other two musketeers who are indeed as loopy as they look!!
Ed the axeman Ed the . . . well, words fail me!
