The tank is is located at the Bricklayer's Arms in Sarf London and I know it well. It even has planning permission. Apparently a formal request for planning permission for a tank was tendered and accepted for that particular site. The planning department naturally thought that 'tank' referred to a large container that held liquid. Imagine their surprise when the tank in question turned out to be a T34/85!!! However, a tank is a tank is a tank. The request was a legitimate one, so there it is and there it stays!

Thanks, Richard, but I can't help wondering if it is pointing specifically at someone or something?

I wouldn't know David, but what I can tell you is that the cammo pattern changes quite regularly. It was flower-power last time I saw it!

Well someone's got a good sense of humour, Richard.
