"Could Illinois Be the First State to Go Bankrupt?"
Question-asking headlines are obnoxious. Of course Illinois could the first. It could also be the second, third, fourth, fifth, sixth, ..., or the 50th. Or none of the above. Who really gives a flying f*ck!

Speculation is not newsworthy. News stories are about events, not about what various people thought or said or asserted. I don't really give a shit what Nancy Pelosi or Chuck Schumer or 0bama or Clinton said, asserted, or lied about. Those are not news stories. They are obnoxious rantings to be gobbled up and regurgitated by morons.

Well .... TheBigHenry

You noted from the link the last US state to "successfully declare" bankruptcy was JK's very own dear Arkansas?

And besides (or, asides) I did place the link on Monday Funnies did I not?

Sorry, JK. I didn't mean my rant to be a criticism of you posting the link (although I should have realized you might interpret it as such). I was criticizing that sort of article, which passes for news these days.

Opinion pieces used to be placed on the op-ed page of newspapers, which gave readers the option of easily ignoring them. Now we are constantly flooded by opinion/propaganda pieces as if they were the news items themselves. That is what annoys me.

My apologies.
