Good start! Thank you to the 'regular' who ever might he or she be.

Unfortunately, that represents the state of politics in the US fairly well.

Whiters, I try to safeguard the anonymity of my 'jokesters' so in this case I will simply say that he has one side of his sun hat pinned up and a distinct smell of brine about him!

So, Bob, not all bad then! Well, better than if the positions had been reversed!

David, got it! Also, I went over to "that blog" and left a couple of bland offerings this am. There is Trump derangement syndrome afoot there.

David, you're probably right. The Republicans are now revealing themselves to be nothing more than a PR firm that's incapable of governing. If Clinton were in the White House all we'd hear about would be phony scandals. Real scandals and international clowning are more entertaining. Maybe Trump will threaten a country near you next. Luxembourg? Belgium? Liechtenstein? Who knows? Yuk, Yuk, Yuk.

Eh, Bob?

Your, "Maybe Trump will threaten a country near you next" jogged a little neural connection to wit:

"If we do have morals, where were they while Bosnians were slaughtered? And where were we while Clinton dithered over the massacres in Kosovo and decided, at last, to send the Serbs a message: Mess with the United States and we'll wait six months, then bomb the country next to you."

So. There truly is nothing new under the sun.

And David, this day started out a heckuva lot brighter than my yesterday.

Did you know P.J. O'Rourke made his bones as a contributing editor to the old 'National Lampoon' magazine? His schtick is "conservative" humor. It doesn't seem to be aging well and has the tone of Trump's doom and gloom speechwriter Stephen Miller.

I agree there's nothing new under the sun. Remember how the Democrats got derailed by 1960's and '70's "radical chic"? It seems Trump's courting the "alt right" and the Republicans being too cowardly to say anything about it is a similar moment. Let's hope some political group starts acting like grownups soon.

Who? Me?

I've never worn a slouch hat in my life!

Oh no, say it ain't so! Was it you who sent the late night White House gag, Andra? I thought it was AussieD. Mea culpa and all that.

Your fact checking leaves a lot to be desired.
How can we believe anything you say if you can't even get this simple little thing right??

But ... but ... nobody believes a word I say, anyway!
