I am obliged to the good Doctor for the use of his famous quotation, so useful in so many different areas of life, but particularly so in the case I am about to mention.
In the High Court today, proceedings under the aegis of an Employment Tribunal continued, as Ms. Sharon Shoesmith, the nu-Labour apparatchik in charge of non-Social non-Services in Haringey whilst 'Baby P' was slowly tortured to death under the myopic eyes of the department for which she was responsible, pressed her case of wrongful dismissal. In the normal course of events one would, despite all those liberal prescriptions which are constantly rammed down our throats and make us choke, instantly make up one's mind and hope that not only would this women lose her case but that she would be placed in the stocks in Haringey High Street to be pelted with ordure by the locals. But . . . but . . . the person she is gunning for in this case is Mr. 'Ed' Balls, the minister in charge, whom she accuses of acting unlawfully under pressure from the media. Now 'Ed' Balls is, of course, one of the most appalling shits in this jakes of a government and one would dearly love to see him humiliated and reprimanded. But . . . but . . . then the winner would be Ms. Shoesmith.
Surely, if there really is an 'Intelligent Designer' he will arrange for both of them to be run over by a bus outside the High Court.
In Arkansas it was formerly common-place to find "two-seater" privies. Are there not two sets of stocks on display in the British Museum that could be reset of for other "official acts?"

Yet another 'can't they both lose?' case...
