I have been provoked today. First of all, my occasional e-pal, the excitingly named 'Dexter VanDango', appeared in a comments thread below to add a bit of wit and wisdom and he, being an artist, prodded my memory which led to my post on Paul Klee, see below, and all of that reminded me that I hadn't visited his site for a while, so with a click of the mouse-thingie, away I went, and immediately came across this excellent cartoon entitled "Appreciate Me - the Blogger's Lament".
The best cartoons always contain a streak of cruelty to match their truth content, and the truth of this particular example made me wince with discomfort. His paintings are best described as idiosyncratic but I can only say by way of ultimate praise that there were several I would be happy to hang on the walls of 'Chateaux Duff'. However, ladies beware, at a quick glance he has an uncanny resemblance to George Clooney - need I say more?!
Thanks so much for your kind and sweet words.
Appreciate Me wasn't a dig at others, but at my own pandering for attention.
For example I have this blog, which is a naive Bleeding Heart Liberal answer to David's mature conservatism: http://reflectionsofacrackedmirror.blogspot.com/
..and then I have this one which scoffs at God, and schemes to build a better one: http://buildingabettergod.blogspot.com/
Reading it may result in some hard time in purgatory.
By the way many of my paintings are for sale.. or in these hard times, up for barter. I accept live chickens and bushels of turnips.

P.S. A special thanks for taking the time and trouble to describe my paintings as idiosyncratic when inept would have been so much quicker to type.

No, no, there is considerable skill involved in what you do - good luck with the sales!
