I have frequently come across mentions of http://www.sluggerotoole.com/, a group blog based in Ulster but without actually becoming a frequentl visitor. Anyway, its owner, Mick Fealty, has e-mailed to tell me of an event he is helping to arrange in Edingburgh on Saturday 13th November. Apparently this is to bring together bloggers, politicians, campaigners, civil servants and so forth to discuss, I suppose, 'Whither political blogging?' Personally, I wouldn't cross the road to meet a politician but that's mainly because I am a bad-tempered old curmudgeon. Some of you, particularly those 'ooop north' are of a more congenial disposition and might rather enjoy a day inEdinburgh - I am assured by Mick that the beer is excellent.
