I know, I know, I just can't help myself from falling in love with powerful women, er, particularly of they're gorgeous and elegant, two words which describe Condaleezza Rice to perfection. I cannot say I studied her career in detail, not even when she was in high office under George Bush, but what sticks in my mind was the way she once stood up to fierce cross-examination from a Congressional committee. The lady displayed a razor-sharp mind and a superb grasp of the complex facts. I mention all this because I came across an article on her which confirms my belief that she is a woman of considerable merit. I urge you all to give it a read - but remember, I'm first in the queue, the lady still being single!
Sorry for a somewhat sparse diet of posts recently, I am under a certain amount of pressure from various directions, not the least being that the house is a shambles whilst sundry painting and repair jobs are undertaken. I am away tomorrow night, bombarding the unsuspecting and totally innocent members of a Round Table with my talk on The Battle of Three Emperors. By the end of the evening they may well be thinking that the actual battle might have been preferable!

Sorry, JK, it was one of those 'movies' that stops and starts so I didn't see it but I'm sure it contained nothing but praise for my darlin Sar-, oops, Condaleezza!

Well actually, it was pretty good. I knew you'd like it especially because it didn't feature that bimbo you'd previously been annoyed with.
I'll speak with the Internet Speed-Board to see if we can't get the trans-Atlantic transmissions kinks worked out.

Thanks, JK, they really are very irritating when those films keep stopping - even the Brit ones do it from time to time.
