Sorry, sorry, but I just couldn't be bothered to plough through tons of Guido's output to find some staggeringly stupid remarks from your average MP so if you're 'bovvered', you do it! Happily, that estimable newspaper, The Register-Herald (no, me neither) of West Virginia has provided us all with an absolute corker from a Democrat Congressman who said this during an interview with the paper:
Climate change — to deny it exists, to just put your head in the sand and, ‘oh no, it doesn’t exist, what are you talking about,’ is about like standing on the floor of Macy’s during the month of December and claiming Santa Claus doesn’t exist.
You see! You all laughed at me because I always put a sock at the bottom of my bed on Christmas eve along with a glass of milk and a biscuit for Santa when he calls. But now my faith is fortified by the distinguished Representative Nick Rahall of the Third District (no, I don't know where that is, for God's sake, in America somewhere, West Virginia, I assume!) and here is this wise man counting up to, er, one, actually.
Yeah, yeah, I know, 'stoopid', they always do it bigger and better over there!
Since I can't paste in a map showing West Virginia's location I figured the best I could do was type in a Virginia link. What's that you say, "I don't know where Virginia is either?"
I know you know your American rivers right? Well the Potomac is what separates the Virginias from Washington DC.
