Another away-day tomorrow because I am off to the dear old Victoria & Albert (such a darling couple!) to see their current exhibition on the Ballets Russes. Diaghilev and his enterprise were, I think, unique in art history. This amazing character, part artististic connoisseur, part crook, part genius, brought together so many of the very greatest talents of the avant-guarde that his ballet company created almost literally an explosion of talent across the whole spectrum of the arts and the effects remain with us today. Can't wait and I will report on Saturday.
