Surely the news is bad enough already without us being bombarded with non-stop, 24-hour reports concerning mobs of our great unwashed and un-thinking 'youfs' and 'youfettes' demonstrating yet again that all the tax money ripped out of my back pocket to pay for an 'Edukashun Servis' was completely and utterly wasted. I listened last night to one of them being interviewed outside the Stock Exchange. Actually, he was an American 'stoodent' so all things things educational are obviously just as bad 'over there'. Anyway, asked to give his opinion on what should happen there then ensued a long series of Neanderthal grunts, punctuated with various glottal 'likes', 'y' knows', 'sort ofs' interspersed with pauses obviously caused by brain fatigue - assuming there was a brain there in the first place. I want to be kind to this rambling, shambling oaf and I would have been if he had simply owned up to the truth and told us that he was only down there demonstrating because he hoped to pick up a couple of hot, radical chicks - "y' know what I mean?" Incomprehensible, inchoate, insensible morons, the lot of them. Well, excepting, of course, the handful of all-too-clever string-pullers who operate these gormless muppets who, needless to say, can at the slightest incident become exceedingly dangerous.
Not for the first time since my 21st birthday I wonder why youth is wasted on the young!
It's the hormones subsiding David. They make you react instead of thinking about it first.
Our hormones have stopped messing us about. We prefer thinking to reacting because we know reacting is rarely worth the trouble unless we've just sat on our glasses.

You're right, I suppose, AK, and if you detect a hint of regret it's becuase I vaguely remember my hormones led me to delights beyond measure.
(Totters off for another sherry muttering something about those were the days . . .)

Damn! Sorry, Dom, that was one of those videos that failed to work on my steam-engined computer but I read the comments which gave me the general idea.
