That's a tradition of graft and corruption, of course, which began with good ol' Joseph P. Kennedy who by a variety of means both fair and foul managed to become one of the richest men in America. Then there was his son, Edward 'Ted' Kennedy, a man who couldn't draw a straight line if he tried, and not just because he always had a glass in one hand and a dame in the other! And now today we have Robert Kennedy Jnr., the nephew of President Kennedy who, according to Breitbart, has his hand in Obama's back pocket, or to be precise, the American tax-payers' back pocket.
Kennedy Junior owns a company called BrightSource which, if it operated as its name implies as being a source for huge amounts of Federal cash, would be very 'bright' indeed. However, like all the best scams around today, BrightSource is a solar panels company, you know, folks, the people who assure you that sunlight is free and all they need is a few zillion bucks to make it pay! According to a book, written by Breitbart editor Peter Schweizer:
In 2010, BrightSource, whose largest shareholder is Kennedy’s VantagePoint Partners, was up to its eyes in $1.8 billion of debt obligations and had lost $71.6 million on its paltry $13.5 million of revenue.
So how lucky was Kennedy when one of his partners, Sanjay Wagle, was instrumental in 2008 in raising 'loadsa' money for Obama's election fund? Then, guess what? In 2010 the Good Fairy touched Mr. Wagle on the shoulder with her magic wand and, lo and behold, he was appointed by the White House to the Dept. of Energy advising on - yes, you guessed - energy grants!
Ironically, in 2008, Kennedy wrote a CNN article praising Obama as reminiscent of his famous father and uncle. The article, titled “Obama’s Energy Plan Would Create a Green Gold Rush,” proved prophetic. However, the “green gold rush” came in the form of $1.4 billion of taxpayers’ money flowing into the pet projects of rich venture capital investors like Kennedy, not average citizens.
Now I'm not one to rub it in to my 'cousins over there' but could I just repeat that amount - $1.4 billion - that's, er, - $1.4 billion, in case you didn't see it first time round because your eyes had welled with tears! Still, my American readers can console themselves that it was money going into "a green jobs creator". Indeed, it was but using the very best employment figures offered by the company it works out, a ccording to Breitbart, at about $1 million per job!
Look, it's no good you brandishing that Colt .45 at me, you voted these rascals in, and, to be honest, I've got my own problems with this lot 'over here'!
I'm not sure that he's truly in the family tradition unless he's raped or drowned someone.

Or caused a daughter, whose behaviour is not quite in keeping with the family's ambitions, to be given a lobotomy.

He will have to work to get to the standards his grandfather who sold short in October 1929 betting on and helping the Crash.
