'Big Sis' is, of course, 'Sister Wolf', the owner of a blog that has been one of my favourites ever since I started this blogging lark. The fact that she is a very attractive lady is, I assure you, nothing to do with it.
In fact, she is an example to me of the wonders of this internet-thingie that an elderly British gent can 'meet' and makes friends with a Californian woman he will never meet in person. It is also yet another proof of the truth that liking someone transcends politics, age and background. I think it is fair to say that when it comes to politics she and I approach each other (at a highly dangerous speed!) from completely opposite directions. I would also add that in my opinion most of her social views are totally daft . . . and yet . . . and yet . . . dammit, I like the woman! She's fierce and she's courageous and behind the snapping-snarling exterior there is a big and generous heart which has, in its time, been cruelly mauled.
Anyway, I am provoked to these affectionate words because she has just published quite the most extraordinary post I have ever read anywhere. In its brave, funny, daft, honest way it absolutely sums her up. And no, I don't think they found the Higgs Boson particle 'up there'!
How come they get to keep the pictures in California?
The NHS never gave me my piccies.
Bet if I'd gone private I'd have had a framed memento to take away with me; another good reason to privatize the NHS, I'd say.

Do you think Sister-Wolf would ever fancy an older man?

I bet you say this to every girl with a beautiful colon. Still, I am honored by your praise and I wish I could live up to it.
I think our mutual tendency toward playfulness, and toward moral outrage, together with our love of PJ parties, could actually mean we were separated at birth!
