Look, I know I told you yesterday that I was attempting to post on the subject of language but, alas, just at the moment I don't have, er, the words - or the time given that we are suffering a brutish attack of global warming (hurrah!) and the accumulations stemming from yesterday's trip to the garden centre must be dealt with today. But fear not, as I do so, be assured that I will be pondering on some of the mysteries of language which I will vouchsafe to you - later!
In the meantime, my regular commenter, 'Rogerh' raised the name of an American artist, Gregg Kreutz, in a comment to yesterday's post. Taking the easy way out I have decided to give you some samples of his work from a comprehensive site featuring his paintings:
Right, no more time, stand by, begonias, here I come!
There has been a fair bit of talk about this garden of yours over the years with no evidence that such a thing exists.
Well, enough's enough, Duff.
I want to see photos!
And don't show us photos of Sissinghurst - we know what that looks like.

Hmmmn! Tricky that one because, Andra, my 'garden' is the size of a titchy postage stamp so I will have to take several close ups in order to give the impression of rolling acres. Mind you, I am just as amazed as you would be if you saw it that such a minute garden can cause so much bloody work when I should be up here educating the world via this blog!
