There is one strangely personal aspect to poo. Our own never smells as bad as another person's - or is that the power of ego again?

AK, apologies but TypePad sent your comment to the spam box, said there was a bit of pong about it! However, you are spot on.

Off topic joke from the Dept of Wishful Thinking at my wife's quilting group:

A big earthquake with the strength of 8.1 on the Richter scale hits the  Middle East .

Two million Muslims die and over a million are injured.

Iraq , Iran and Syria are totally ruined and the governments don't know where to start with providing help to rebuild.

The rest of the world is in shock

The USA is sending troops to help keep the peace.

Saudi Arabia is sending oil.

Latin American countries are sending clothing.

New Zealand and Australia are sending sheep, cattle and food crops.

The Asian countries are sending labour to assist in rebuilding the infrastructure.

Canada is sending medical teams and supplies.

GREAT BRITAIN , not to be outdone, is sending two million replacement Muslims.

Dream on, BOE! And tell your wife to pass on the Clinton joke, they'll love it!

Very humbling and kinda depressing.

Ah, cheer up, Andra, and pour yourself another dry martini!

6.00 am and it's Earl Grey thank you very much.

Oh dear, Aussie gals aren't what they used to be!

"Oh dear, Aussie gals aren't what they used to be!"

Oh yes they are - grin :-)

PS Which one of the microbes in Archbishop Dawkins is the one with the brains? Or is it a sort of collective Gaia arrangement?

The only thing I can say about 'Archbishop' Dawkins' brain is that it is not nearly as big as he likes to imagine!
