Not eligible to vote but my sympathy lies with the Exit side.

One of my grandfathers [1stAIF in France and Belgium] used to say, "The Wogs begin at Calais and extend Eastwards". The other one [1stAIF at Gallipoli then France and Belgium] was equally unimpressed with Europe. Not very PC but I guess three years of fighting on European soil probably does that to you. They regarded The Channel as a cultural divide to be maintained.

In discussing with my son the "cultural enrichment" you are experiencing Rotherham style and how long it would be before your "powers what be" grew a pair and looked to preserving your heritage he reminded me of one of Kipling's poems.

by Rudyard Kipling

It was not part of their blood,
It came to them very late,
With long arrears to make good,
When the Saxon began to hate.

They were not easily moved,
They were icy — willing to wait
Till every count should be proved,
Ere the Saxon began to hate.

Their voices were even and low.
Their eyes were level and straight.
There was neither sign nor show
When the Saxon began to hate.

It was not preached to the crowd.
It was not taught by the state.
No man spoke it aloud
When the Saxon began to hate.

It was not suddently bred.
It will not swiftly abate.
Through the chilled years ahead,
When Time shall count from the date
That the Saxon began to hate.

Alas, AussieD, the latter-day Saxons who inhabit 'this septic Isle' cannot see further than the end of their noses. Dave continues with his European pantomime, most of his ministers keep their heads down, the 'Great British Public' concentrate on 'footie'! They deserve what is coming!

David - I congratulate you on your putting your money where your mouth is, to coin a phrase.

I was just after reading inEu referendum blog (the annoying but often right dr north) and he reckons vote.leave is about to fall to bits... Is that true?

The vote is a vital one to win but I think if we rely on any of the campaigns then we are lost. We can only hope that nodbody drops a major clanger and wait for ju cker the drunker to fuck things up even more spectacularly than he has to date such the the keave vote becomes obviously the safe vote.

We know it already is, but plenty of people havent realised yet. Luckily events are moving our way.

Depressing thoughts AussieD and David. Western Europe has become so utterly pacified and feminized post WW2 that I believe resistance to well dressed EUcrats has come too easy. And now Islam is just accomplishing a walk in conquest where they have their way with native women while the police and government authorities blame their own populations. No wonder groups are springing up to protect themselves since their own governments won't. Rotherham should have people in the streets in full rage against a weak police force, civil authorities and mostly the Islamists behind this act of subjugation. Stop it.

Don't forget that Rotherham has a long history of voting for monkeys waving red flags. I'd be amazed if any worthwhile numbers would drag themselves away from Jeremy Kyle long enough to be noticed.

I think the deciding factor is going to be immigration, especially when The Dumpy One gets the next million. Most of our problems, housing, medicine, education, have immigration behind them. As the EU falls into turmoil Immigration will become the spearpoint of the argument against remaining in the EU.

I would also like to congratulate you Mr Duff on putting your money etc.

Duffers - I too am reading a book which is excellent. The Clash of Civilizations by Samuel P Huntingdon was written 20 years ago but he identifies the likely flashpoints around the globe as if it had been written yesterday - Ukraine, Islamic immigration crisis, the rise of China, the fading of western power. Very impressive.

I am at present on the chapter regarding the clash between Islam and The West esp. europe. At one point he makes the point that pressure from Islam could well Turn out to be a unifying influence - common enemy type situation and it seems likely that The Dumpy one thought so too.

I think this is one his predictions that will turn put to be wrong.

He writes plenty more as well but the thing that stands out most clearly is that we in the west have to be ready to defend our civilization and the values that underpin it. Under the lefty governments we have all over Europe and the USA we are not doing that we are continually selling ourselves short.

Time is running out.

Cufflyburgers, you do not have to defend yourself if you do not welcome the enemy in that want to destroy you.

Jimmy - correct but the powers that be have invited them in now it is up to us to defend oirselves, our people, our Culture and to insist that our political class better represent the will of the people.

Jimmy and Cuffleyburgers..Well said. Ad in an "or else". Pols are thick in the head.
