I have warned you all before, many a time and oft', that the lack of spots on the sun would drive you all to pulling out your Long Johns from the bottom of your cupboards! You may well ask me what the hell I know about sun spots and global cooling and I will tell you honestly - zero, zilch and nada! However, I know a man who does - Anthony Watts on his superb site Watts Up With That?.
Now he is too good a scientist to say definitely that the lack of sun spots definitely leads to cooling on earth, he merely points to a strong historical correlation between the two. Needless to say, this being a scientific dispute there are plenty of dissident voices denying the possibility - and you can read many of them in his 'Comments' section.
However, I have the clinching evidence denied to just about everyone else. The sun spot activity definitely started falling away a few years back and this year, down 'ere in 'Zummerzet', the tropics of England, we have had not one but TWO snowfalls! Need I say more?
David, keep yer snow shovel handy!

Imagine mainstream climate scientists having to admit that climate change has something to do with the sun. Concentrations of sarcasm in the political atmosphere could reach catastrophic levels.

It is snowing here on the first day of Spring in Maryland. We are forecasted to get about a foot. Yippee!
It is ok - I have a bottle of single malt.
