Was it that Einstein fella who said, “The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again, but expecting different results”. Probably not but who-ever did say it was spot on! The proof can be found in the la-la-land of global warming where they never learn anything from experience.
Thus, the irredeemably dumb students and faculty of Rhode Island University decided in their wisdom to mount an expedition to the Arctic "to advance understanding of and document the effect climate change is having on the environment and biodiversity in the Canadian Arctic Archipelago". Of course, we all remember, because we haven't stopped laughing, the similar 2013 expedition backed - natch! - by the BBC and 'The Graun' - to check on the, er, disappearing ice in the Antarctic which ended up trapped in the, er, well, ice, actually!
Obviously news of that fiasco had not yet reached the University of Rhode Island so they, too, launched an expedition to check on the melting ice 'oooop north' in the Arctic and guess what - DUH! - it became stuck in the ice!
Now you know why I do not regret missing a university education!
David, your title sure did fool me! What I expected to see wasn't there and if they were to be seen well, they would brrr frozen!
A university degree does not always equal an 'education'. It does always equal a piece pf paper!

We humans are a confounding lot. Without a formidable amount of training, which never gaurantees a successful outcome, we see what we want to see and disregard the rest:
