Yesterday I confessed to be suffering with concentrated 'brain-ache' as I tried to unwind the intricacies of John le Carré's latest spy yarn "The Little Drummer Girl". However, last night being a typical TV night there was the usual barren desert of offerings so I decided to re-watch the recording I had made of the first episode - and yes, before you all drop your cups of tea in amazement, I did manage to record it all properly - God, I'm good! Even more amazing, I think I understood what is going on. However there are two problems to my understanding anything. First, will I remember it by next Sunday when the next episode plays? Then, there is what I call my 'Einstein problem'. You see, I have lost count over the years of the number of times I have read explanations of his theories and yelled triumphantly, "I've got it! I've got it! At last, I've got it!", then rushing through to explain it to the 'Memsahib the memory gates come crashing down and - zip! - it's gone again. So, I may have to keep replaying that recording right up until episode 2 starts by which time I will have memorised the entire script!
Oi! Wake up . . . I'm talking to you . . . this is important . . . !
You'll be telling us that you understood 'The Prisoner' next...

Well, at least you stayed awake, Scrobs, but as for me understanding "The Prisoner", I would work out the square root of -1 quicker than that!
