Yet again I bow to the superior wisdom of Mr. Quentin Letts

Dammit, these professional commentators can wrap up a ragbag of proposals, counter-proposals; policies, counter-policies; hot air, cold air, into as neat a parcel as you could wish for, and no-one does it better than the highly intelligent and very witty Mr. Quentin Letts.  Today, in The Telegraph he summarises the giant - Obscenity Warning! - 'clusterfuck' that Mrs. May has led us into in the so-called Brexit negotiations.  I confess that I have rarely held a high opinion of any government but the pathetic, cack-handed, amateurish and almost traitorous stupidity of her and her non-government is almost beyond parody.  The woman is not capable of running a Parish Council let alone Her Majesty's government.

Mr. Letts sums it up thus:

The Brexit drama has reached Act V, its denouement at hand. Mrs May’s aides spoke of the past seven days as ‘Hell week’, though every week for them must be a torment and the next may be even worse. She is finally having to make up her mind. Proper leaders embrace decision-making with a show of mastery.

Mrs May retreats into her hermit’s cave, bilious liquids seeping under the boulder she has rolled in its entrance. She is resentful, ineloquent, remote. What a deadly cabbage. Her lackeys in the appeasing Press accuse pro-Brexit Tories of being disloyal. She is the disloyal one. She is plotting to chain us to a hostile Brussels. She has betrayed the electorate and her party.

Her only success thus far is to make me think that perhaps, after all, Neville Chamberlain wasn't that bad!  Next week the Tory party, that is, the Tory MPs, must 'man up' and put an end not only to her all too obvious misery but ours as well.  Yes, I realise the dangers of a Corbyn government arising from the ashes but I'll grin and bear it because within a couple of years his chronic stupidity will be obvious to everyone.  However, better still would be for Boris, or someone, anyone, to take over the government and just head for the European exit no matter what!
