That is indeed an absolutely brilliant article - thank you!

I particularly liked the bit about how the EU's main instinct was for ruthless preservation of the empire and the ideal, rather than fairness. You would have thought that the historical resonances would have been apparent to the British, wouldn't you!

It's just a stream of the same old porkies.

Blaming the EU for no deal. There is a deal.

It doesn't get more delusional porkie than that.


This says it more eloquently, I feel ...

"Fuck knows" (note I'm quoting before you start rattling the swear box).


Do I detect a note of desperation?

I guess the 'new' European Union is the "Hotel California" of soft fascism: 'you can check out any time you want, but you can never leave'.
