I am on standby as chauffeur to the 'Memsahib' this morning so I do not have much time for creating one of my long, elegant and carefully-crafted analyses - and I heard that! - of the news of the day. Plus, there are so many news items worthy of comment that I hardly know where to start.
Well, of course, I must start with the marking of the 75th anniversary of D-Day which was, I think, excellent in all respects. Both here and in France, they were both serious and solemn but also, given the remarkable number of old veterans still alive, joyous. Even 'The Donald' managed to recognise that on this occasion he was a supporting player and he behaved impeccably. As to the memory of those who died, there simply are no words.
From the sublime to the 'cor blimey' of yesterday's by-election in Peterborough which has some ominous implications. In effect, the Right-wing vote was split between Tories and the Brexit party which allowed Labour - just! - to sneak in. This will require careful thought from all concerned.
Today, I gather, there is a women's football Cup Final. Needless to say, I will not be watching given that the only ladies sport I might watch is Brazilian volleyball where the shorts are shortest!
At least I managed, er, with the help of my neighbour, to sort my TV out so that I could watch the CD version of the last series of "Line of Duty". I deliberately avoided watching it on live TV because I knew it would drive me mad having to wait a week for every episode. Well for the last four nights I have watched the first four episodes and they were total and utter crap! Will I force myself to watch the last four. Perhaps but only because I want to see if it sinks to even lower levels of total unbelievability!
Right, can't waste my time here, her Ladyship is calling!
Chauffeur you say? I guess the old "Bentley" proceeds as expected?

Maybe David, either AussieD or maybe Andra can hook us up with some videos. Australia looks like, may be cooking up some competition.

The old Bentley will be expropriated for the benefit of the proletariat in due course - once the Brexit party has got Jezza elected ...

So make the most of it.
Curtains for Jezza eh? Curtains for Blighty more like, all down to you!

SoD, let's hope the "old chauffeur" is well cared for at least.

Alas, AussieD, YouTube would not allow it to be played and it sounded, er, interesting!
