The former head of MI6 warned of the danger of allowing the Chinese company Huawei (Sole Prop. the Chinese government!) to gain access to our communications networks. The Head of MI5, on the hand, says that 'there is nothing to see here move along'! As an ex-Corporal in that well-known oxymoron, Army Intelligence, I would venture to suggest that allowing the Chinese, in any form, within spitting distance of our critical and strategic networks is either madness or treachery!
Get a grip, Boris!
Huawei is pretty much banned in Australia.

Ahoy David!
Listen to these two short pieces ... about 25 minutes ... You as I recall living at the end of the airstrip in Oman surely retain influence?

Duffers - this is one of the few subjects about which I would be interested in hearing the opinion of SoD :-)

Not Oman, JK, it was the end of runway2 at Bahrein airport and, alas, I never visited the Oman, my visits were confined to UAE. Mind you, I suspect if you were 'up country', you would be hard-pressed to tell the difference! I will listen to your links later - thanks.
