Last night I watched the first episode of "Little Boy Blue" which is being repeated on ITV. There are three more episodes to come this week and you really should try and see them. If you missed the first episode last night it showed the murder of a young boy accidentally shot in a park by some young yobs who had acquired a gun. No, I agree, that doesn't sound too enticing and the fact that it is set in Liverpool and they all speak 'Scouse' does not add to its appeal! However, first of all it is superbly and realistically directed and acted but, above all else, it features Stephen Graham in the lead role of the investigating policeman. I would watch that man read the football results!
DO NOT MISS IT!
For Gawd's sake sign up for Netflix and stop bigging up the utter crapulata that's left on TV.

"Little Boy Blue" was NOT "crapulata", it was TV drama of the very highest calibre, well directed and brilliantly acted. Yes, it was a grim tale from the depths of 'Scouseland' but, alas, I guess it was deadly accurate!

And today, I found out that it was actually based very closely on a real-life incident in Toxteth:
