Indeed. If those elite, gilded journalists had sense they'd retire to Barnard Castle or their parents' estates and stop being so unfair to a regular bloke.

The media attacks on Cummings had little to do with the virus. The EU remainer press mob have been after his blood since he was the main intellect in orchestrating the brexit campaign. The remainers remain bad losers and will continue as they think they can reverse the democratic decision.

All those Remainer diehards gunning for Gollum, eh Jimmy, you mean like Peter "Leave means Leave" Bone and Steve Baker ERG? ...

Ah the Guardian Loz! Who is leading the witchunt. If the witchunters can provide evidence that Cummings compromised the health of British citizens then they must provide it and if they do then he should resign.

I once drove at 35 miles per hour in a 30 zone with no other traffic or pedestrians around and received 3 points on my licence. I harmed no-one and no harm was even possible, yet the law applied and I had no defence.

The police should prosecute Cummings like they have done thousands of other citizens under the same law. And he should resign for breaking that law.

C'mon Jimmy, many of the 38 MP's calling for Cummings to resign are Brexiteers who regard the rule of law as paramount and over and above their own politics.

Gollum's gotta go.

Loz,I believe the police in Co Durham have said he did not break the law. However a private citizen has made a complaint so we await the investigation. Cummings said his journey was necessary so leave it to the law to decide not the baying mob. I was informed by my niece that her two grandsons who are furloughed bought bikes and cycled to Loch Lomond. The police were at the end of the cycle lane and sent them back. Their friend who went ahead of them made it to Loch Lomond. He was sitting well away from anyone eating his sandwiches when the police came along and fined him 30 quid. At no time did anyone come anywhere near two metres to those lands except the police. I have taken pics in Glasgow Central Stn of groups breaking the distancing rules and this is under the noses of the police and CTV.
