From today's Telegraph an obit on the late Major Jeffrey Noble whom I describe as a man of excellent taste since, first, he joined the Parachute Regiment during WWII and, second, later in life he chose to live in the exquisite town of Annecy in France which I once visited, albeit briefly alas, and have never forgotten. A good life, well lived.
