So Minneapolis has sacked the police. And then, under a barrage of death threats, the councillors have hired their own personal police force with tax payers money! ...

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't that normally called "a coup"?

So white actors are exerting their "white privilege" and guilty of "cultural appropriation" when they perform voice-overs for black parts. But when black actors play white parts in Shakespeare plays that's not cultural appropriation?

A guy was robbed at gunpoint and regrets calling 911 because it put the two black thieves in danger of the police.
But weddone Uncle Sam, you're ahead of Blighty in the world's greatest competition of 2020! Yes, here it is, the one you've all been waiting for to clear the comments threads of D&N, announcing! ...
SOD-GNASH 2020
That is, Son of Duff's Greatest National Acts of Self-Humiliation 2020 competition. A simple format: a mere tot-up of all spasticated state executive behaviour, from criminal negligence to incompetence, from parish council to president, and everything in between that seemingly boundless volume.
And today's leader of SOD-GNASH 2020 issssssss: the good ol' US of A! ...

Minneapolis has not sacked the police. In an Orwellian attempt to please everyone the City Council is merely changing the name:
"The proposed amendment, which would replace the police department with a new "Department of Community Safety and Violence Prevention" that has yet to be fully defined, next goes to a policy committee and to the city's Charter Commission for a formal review, at which point citizens and city officials can weigh in."

At most this would change the emphasis of policing, which wouldn't be bad. You might not have a complaint with the Minneapolis cops, but maybe a sizable percentage of Minneapolis residents do. Hiring protection might be hypocritical, but not hiring protection amidst threatening Yahoos would be stupid.

Who cares?

See above.
We have much bigger things to worry about, like having a mentally ill president, COVID-19 pandemic, and another Great Depression on the horizon. Are you auditioning for a job as a Fox News writer? You've got the "always translate to culture war verbiage" rule mastered.

What's the old homily, 'Don't see as I see, see as I demand you see'?
Something like that anyway.

Now of course the eight minutes of absent-police-Minneapolis video has been taken down but one can get some idea in the comments that Bob's version of what's on display "[T]he City Council is merely changing the name" doesn't exactly match the reality on view rather that which Bob and his fellow Wokesters demand you see.
But then they reveal themselves by concealing the evidence.

JK,
I am not a wokester. I am a warlock:

The distinction I suppose being the warlock merely emulates the wokester. To illustrate:
