The utter fecklessness of the state seems to know no bounds ...
The NHS call centre that tracks and traces Covid has itself gone down with a dose of Covid.
Do you laugh? Or cry? Or slash your wrists?
According to staff, social distancing wasn't being observed during breaks ...
A worker at the Sitel centre reportedly told Monica Lennon, the Labour MSP for Central Scotland, that physical distancing had not been maintained by employees in shared spaces and during work breaks.
“I asked if they felt the working environment was safe. They answered no,” Lennon tweeted. Sitel has been approached for further comment in relation to these claims.
And then the NHS proudly states that the operation continues with the staff working at home ...
“Everyone at the site is currently working from home while a deep clean takes place, and will be offered a test within the next 24 hours.”
If the staff are continuing to work from home then why weren't they working from home in the first place? Why were they in a dangerous and expensive call centre office instead of at a safe and lower cost desk at home? Every other business has discovered that office workers are not only safer but also more productive at home ...
Why can't the NHS procure or operate a service that simply follows the success of market operators?
In highlighting the incompetence, negligence and abuse of the state you might think some effort would be required, that there might be some strata of success to have to dig past to get to the dirt. But it's literally everywhere you look.
If you want to know the easiest job in the world it's being a Libertarian blogger and criticizing the failures of the state. No matter the productivity tools employed, even if you engaged all 65m Brits in the task you'd never cover it all off.

NIH.
Not invented here.
If we did not think of it, it cannot be any good.
It's why Paris road tunnels do not have USA invented Armco barrier to stop cars ploughing into pillars.
There are many other examples. And most involve government agencies.

You still have some good scientists and universities:
"LONDON (AP) — Scientists at Oxford University say their experimental coronavirus vaccine has been shown in an early trial to prompt a protective immune response in hundreds of people who got the shot."

Given that Singapore got their Nosocomial infection rate down to statistical zero in April by being absolutely rabid on handwashing and mostly forgetting about red herrings of social distancing/facemasks it informs us there are probably less than hygeinic shared toilets in yet another part of OURNHS
