Yes, I'm back again - who groaned?

Sorry for my absence over recent days - and thanks to 'SoD' for filling in.  I can't quite make up my mind why I have been so idle.  Perhaps, at long last, I am suffering from the boredom I have inflicted on y'all over the last few years.  Actually, the fact is that I cannot think of much I want to say!  I suspect that this damned 'lock-down-thingie' has just depressed my usual exuberance.  Whatever, the fact is that I am struggling to write about anything.  

However, things are about to change - I hope! - because I have decided to kickstart what passes for my social life so this Sunday I am taking the 'Memsahib' to lunch at our local - and very smart! - restaurant.  Just the two of us because as I emerge, blinking, into some sort of social life again, I don't think I could cope with company and the necessity of multi-conversation.  The other problem that troubles me is whether or not, after this long, tedious lockdown, I will be able to restrain myself from singing: "Free again, happy, happy me - free again!" Although I'm sure the other customers would be delighted!

Very very smart digs indeed. For my first outing I choose something a bit more casual but the food is fabulous.

Here in the Socialist Peoples Republic of Melbournistan we have been locked down for another six weeks. The adjoining States to Victoria, New South Wales and South Australia, have shut their borders to us as well.

Our "beloved Premier", Abdul bin Andrews, made an almighty stuff up with quarantining returning travellers and selective enforcement of social distancing and so we are back to square one.
