Yes, alas and alack, this week I have lived down to my very worst traits of idleness! Next week I promise to get a grip and return to my usual stream of, er, utter crap! In the meantime, here are a few of what pass for thoughts in my brain!
Farewell, Meghan! Don't think you will not be missed because we Brits always enjoy a snigger especially at dopey-daft foreigners. Even more so when, as happens so often, they take an instant dislike to us. Alas, Meghan, you have joined a world-wide club of zillions who detest and despise the British so not too much exclusivity there! Oh, and please keep hold of Harry, he is a total prat and embarrassment!
Has anyone seen the Labour party? Not, I hasten to add, that I am missing it, let alone eager to see it back again, but, dammit, it is supposed to be Her Majesty's Official Opposition!
Simon Heffer gives it 5-stars but even so . . . I am referring to Nick Lloyd's history The Western Front of which Volume I has just been published. It has the benefit of providing insights into all sides of the conflict. I am tempted, despite my certain knowledge that is will reduce me to tears of both sympathy and anger! However, given my age, will I live long enough to finish it?
There is something rotten in the State of Scotland: 'If ye ha'e any doots' then the continuous stream of stories emanating from Edinburgh will still them, or rather, they will replace them with genuine worries for the 'body-politic' up there!
Cheerio, 'Nige', and thanks for everything: So, we bid farewell to Nigel Farage, arguably the the most influential British politician since Winston Churchill. He it was who, virtually single-handedly, got us out of the clutches of those wretched Europeans and their British 'fifth column'. Give that man a seat in the Lords!
No more later
