DUFF & NONSENSE!

I blame Trump!

You may have wondered why I have been so quiet recently - or you may not, instead of which you were thanking God the old fool had finally shut up!  Whichever, the reason is fairly obvious - nothing much is happening, certainly not enough to fire up my literary skills - and I heard that!  Life in this ancient Isle has sunk to a level of total tedium.  Politics have simply withered on the vine not least because Her Majesty's Leader of the Opposition has nothing to say and therefore does nothing!  Meanwhile Boris bumbles on and as far as I can tell he does nothing either!  It's all very boring but, beneath the tedium, it is also rather worrying because in politics nothing ever stops entirely - although snoozey Joe Biden gives it a try!

Where and when and why will the 'S.H.1.T.' finally hit the fan?  Internationally, of course, the answer is almost certainly China!  They may not be direct actors but whatever kicks off they will be pulling the strings from behind the curtains.  Well, it's no good worrying over those infamous 'unknown unknowns', sufficient unto the day thereof!   Enjoy the peace and quiet whilst you may!

By the way, I blame Trump because everyone does - for everything!

 

 

 

I hears ya'all but . . .

Yes, there are one or two, or even three or more, corrections to be made since 'SoD' reset my 'computer-thingie' but given his workload they may not be sorted until the weekend.  Also, it must be said that my brain - or lack of it! - is not the least of the problems!  

In the meantime, I watch with sardonic amusement the sight and sound of our politicians cavorting like clowns!  The increasingly ridiculous 'Mrs. McWhinge' is always good for a giggle despite having a voice like someone sharpening a claymore!  When, oh when, will the Jocks wake up and see her for the power-mad fanatic that she is before she leads them all off into the European sunset where-in they will soon feel the thud of German truncheons!  If they truly believe that Brussels will treat them better than us Brits then one can only mourn the rot in Scottish education which was once so admired!

 

 

 

'So, what's new, pussycat?'

I feel as though I have been away from everything for a century even though it was just a few days.  Nor have I been following the news as avidly as I normally do, so I feel even more ignorant than usual!  'Still 'n' all', as you cowboys say 'over there', no major wars have erupted despite 'les Frogs' chancing their arm round the island of Jersey.  Boris continues to bumble on in true Boris-style and the 'Peeps' seem to approve given the comfortable Tory vote in the recent local elections.  Biden seems not to have done anything truly dumb and the Chinese - so far! - seem to be keeping their forces under control.  Perhaps the best news is that 'Mrs. McWhinge' failed to collect the massive Scottish vote she was expecting, so the United Kingdom remains, er, well, sort of united!

As I indicated, SoD descended and hit my poor old house like a whirlwind!  He, assisted by the lovely Hana, carried out all the jobs I have been contemplating for years and it only took him the weekend to complete!  Everybody deserves a Lawrence!

Fortunately, 'Mr. Whizzy-do, Jnr.' flew in and has fixed it for me - allegedly!  So later on, normal service will be resumed - and I heard that!
